Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vocational Competence Exam and Certification Center (BTSO MESYEB) has been authorized on "Survey, Project and Consultancy Service" by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources. Enterprises benefiting from Energy Efficiency Consultancy (EEC) service will also be able to benefit from the grants provided by KOSGEB for energy efficiency.
BTSO MESYEB, Turkey's most comprehensive provider of exam and certification services, put into practice by the BTSO, continues its services for the business world. BTSO MESYEB, leading the qualified growth of Bursa industry with its Energy Efficiency Center and Model Factory projects operating within its structure, has provided vocational competence certificates for nearly 60 thousand employees in 84 different professions so far. BTSO MESYEB, which has started to provide a new service on energy efficiency, has been authorized by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources for the "Survey, Project and Consultancy Service" concerning the efficient use of energy in the enterprises.

Mr. İbrahim Burkay, President of Board of Directors of BTSO, said that energy consumption in the world was increasing day by day due to the increase in population, urban development and industrialization. President Burkay noted that energy was indispensable elements of life and said Turkey was not in a prosperous position regarding energy reserves. ‘’We do not have the luxury to consume our energy unnecessarily during the process that even smallest additional costs seriously affect companies in the financial way given the international competition conditions,” President Burkay said. He also added, “Our businesses are going through a difficult period due to the new type of corona virus that deeply affects the whole world. Especially taking into consideration the rate of development of our production-oriented industry, Turkey has a high-potential of energy consumption. This situation reveals once again the importance of energy efficiency in all areas of life.”
BTSO'S INVESTMENTS OFFER OPPORTUNITIES TO COMPANIES
President Burkay noted that as BTSO, they had continued to take steps that guided companies on energy and reminded BTSO EVM, which had Turkey's the first and only 'Energy Measurement Laboratory’ accredited by TÜRKAK, had been providing important services to companies. President Burkay also noted that the Energy Efficiency Consultancy authority given by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources to BTSO MESYEB would offer important opportunities to the Bursa business world. “We provide important services for our companies in the field where BTSO MESYEB, Energy Efficiency Center and Model Factory are located. It is 'Energy Efficiency Module' that is one of the simplification trainings at the Bursa Model Factory which has the competence and transformation center identity along with the Energy Efficiency Center. 'Survey, Project and Consultancy Service' which supports this module with Energy Efficiency Consultancy service is of great importance. Our companies will have the opportunity to use grants offered by KOSGEB on the energy efficiency to the extent that they benefit from this service. In the upcoming days, BTSO MESYEB, Energy Efficiency Center and Model Factory will continue to work on energy efficiency apace,” Burkay stated.
EEC REQUIREMENT TO BENEFIT FROM THE GRANT
It is mandatory to receive service from EEC companies for all grant supports provided by KOSGEB in the field of energy efficiency. By means of voluntary agreements, in the event that the energy density in industrial enterprises is reduced by 10% within 3 years, 1 million Turkish Liras of grant support can only be obtained through projects prepared by EEC companies. 30% of projects up to 5 million Turkish Liras can be provided with grant supports on condition that all businesses over 500 Tonnes of Oil Equivalent (TOE) write an Efficiency Enhancing Project (EEP). Efficiency Enhancing projects are prepared only by EEC companies. |
