The Payitaht Bazaar Project aims at enabling the Historical District of Inns and Bazaars to become the most important shopping and living center of Turkey.
The Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, that was founded 125 years ago at Kozahan (Cocoon Inn), is again heading towards the area of its roots. The transformation of İç Fidan Han and Kubbeli Han by an aesthetic architectural renovation is being targeted.
Physical arrangements such as setting up consumer advisory offices and baby care rooms, modernizing the current restrooms, renovation of the pavements, setting up underpasses and escalators where required, periodically auditing the tradespeople of the bazaar as per the regulations in terms of labeling and conformity with the hygiene and solving the traffic and parking problems are among the activities planned for this area which is the heart of Bursa.
In this context, a memorandum of understanding was signed in May 2014 between the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality to initiate the Payitaht Bazaar Project.
Corporate Development Programs designed for the tradespeople of the bazaar are delivered by experts at the Tayyare Cultural Center.
