HOMETEX, which hosts leading global companies in the home textiles industry, continues to strengthen Türkiye’s export-focused goals. Held at the Istanbul Expo Center for five days, the fair showcased hundreds of local and international exhibitors. It not only shaped trends and fashion through its trend areas and "Dialogs" programs but also boosted exports with significant business connections.
Organized by the Turkish Home Textile Industrialists and Businesspeople Association (TETSİAD) in partnership with KFA Fairs, an affiliate of the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO), HOMETEX brought together thousands of local and foreign firms. Spanning 11 halls and approximately 200,000 square meters, the event hosted nearly 700 exhibitors and drew over 175,000 visitors. With business professionals from around 80 countries attending, productive meetings during the fair contributed to the growth of both the industry and Türkiye’s economy.
Strong International Interest in HOMETEX
The fair provided new business opportunities for participating companies through purchasing delegations from numerous countries, including those from Europe, Australia, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, the USA, and Turkic Republics. This international interest significantly supported the industry's exports.
Setting Trends in Fashion and Innovation
HOMETEX showcased innovative products and designs, ranging from curtains and upholstery fabrics to towels, carpets, wall coverings, and kitchen and bedroom textiles. Experts delivered trend presentations, while seminars addressed themes such as value-added production, AI in home textiles, sustainability, biomaterials, and supply chains. The "HOMETEX Dialogs" events explored 2025-2026 home textile trends. Trend areas, meticulously curated with designs from leading brands, were presented under the theme "Bring to Future."
"A Successful Fair"
BTSO Chairman İbrahim Burkay highlighted the fair's significant contribution to the potential of the home and interior textiles sector. "HOMETEX is more than just a display area for products; it’s a platform for industry solidarity, knowledge sharing, and innovation," he said. Burkay emphasized that the fair, organized under TETSİAD’s leadership and by KFA Fairs, has become a key event, with increasing satisfaction from both exhibitors and visitors. "We have demonstrated once again what we can achieve through exemplary cooperation. From purchasing delegations and trade meetings to trend areas and forward-looking seminars, we have successfully completed another special event. HOMETEX continues to lead our industry’s global presence by setting trends in fashion and design. I express my gratitude to all organizations, companies, and individuals who contributed to the success of this year’s fair," he added.
"HOMETEX Strengthens Our Share in Global Trade"
TETSİAD Chairman Hasan Hüseyin Bayram underlined the cultural mission of HOMETEX in promoting Türkiye, stating, "The Turkish home textiles sector, exporting approximately $3.5 billion annually to 180 countries, is a leader in creating added value with an export value of over $9 per kilogram. HOMETEX is one of the most prestigious fairs in the world for the home textiles industry." Bayram noted the success of this year’s fair, organized by KFA Fairs, saying: "With the support of all stakeholders under TETSİAD’s leadership, the event exceeded expectations in terms of satisfaction for both participants and visitors. HOMETEX will further enhance our exports and strengthen our sector’s share in global trade. I extend my gratitude to KFA Fairs, supporting chambers, export associations, sector representatives, and everyone who contributed to organizing this successful event."
