With an expansive area of 850,000 square meters, the bazaar stands as one of the world's oldest and largest shopping centers. As part of the ongoing renovation efforts within the market, restoration has commenced for the historical structures of İç Fidan Han and Kubbeli Hâl, ensuring alignment with the historical ambiance.
Within the scope of our Payitaht Çarşı project, which aims to rejuvenate the Historical Bazaar and Han District—a place with a 700-year history as the Ottoman Empire's inaugural grand bazaar—we have introduced corporate development programs to engage with our local merchants. Over 2,000 individuals participated in approximately 15 distinct training sessions as part of this initiative.
To address consumer inquiries and feedback related to campaigns and the marketplace, we have established consumer confidence offices. Under the slogan "History's Heritage, Shopping's Finest," we launched the Payitaht Çarşı Shopping Days event, revitalizing commerce in the Bazaar. This event responded to the dual demand of Bursa's residents for both social interaction and shopping, culminating in a draw where 10 automobiles were gifted to fortunate winners.
The Payitaht Çarşı Shopping Days event has contributed to a business volume exceeding 85 million liras for local businesses.
Founded 129 years ago in Koza Han, the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry is actively preserving its roots and historical significance through the Payitaht Çarşı project.
