Through the organization realized by Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO), 226 foreign buyers from 20 countries made important business connections with companies operating in garment fabrics sector. Mr. İbrahim Burkay; President of the Board of Directors of BTSO paid a visit to more than 50 stand owner companies from Bursa. Mr. Burkay stated that they will continue to organize international organizations that will increase the exports of companies in Bursa’s powerful sectors.
Within the scope of the Development of International Competitiveness Improvement (Ur-Ge) project carried out by the BTSO in the textile sector, 235 professional buyers, mainly from Russia, Morocco, Iran and Belarus, made important business connections with Bursa companies. The foreign buyers who were impressed with the products exhibited by the 48 companies that came together under the name of corporate brand; BURTEX gave their orders after the negotiations they had done.
“WE HAVE RECEIVED OUR FIRST ORDERS” Mr. Rıdvan İmamoğlu; owner of Özimamoğlu Textile Company from BURTEX member companies, stated that they have welcomed guests especially from North African countries and Saudi Arabia. "We have received our orders on the first day of the reception delegation organization. We thank our Chamber for providing this opportunity and our Ministry of Economy for their support." Mr. Mustafa Dagli; company's executive officer of Adak Tekstil, expressed that the organization was very successful. “It is very important to bring our companies directly to our buyers and to introduce them to our customers. We, as a company, have also carried out important business negotiations.” VISIT FROM PRESIDENT BURKAY
Mr. İbrahim Burkay; President of the Board of Directors of BTSO paid a visit to stand owner companies. Mr. Burkay evaluated his visit and said; “As BTSO, we have organized 7 buyer delegations within Ur-Ge projects and 3 in the textile sector. We have brought 235 foreign buyers from different countries. Many foreign buyers apart from the delegation we have brought, participated in the program after hearing about the organization.”
THE SUCCESS OF OUR SECTORS IS REFLECTED IN EXPORTS
Mr. Burkay expressed that Bursa is a city that outstands with its strengths that shapes fashion and trend in textile sector both in Turkey and in the world and this success is also reflected in the export of the city. “Bursa showed an increase of twice the export of Turkey according to exports data in the first 4 months of 2017. Our country has a goal of having 1.5% share of world trade and currently the share we receive from world foreign trade is under 1%. 15 years ago the textile sector took a share of 1% from world textile foreign trade and today it has increased its share by 3%. This shows how strong the sector is both in Bursa and in Turkey. "
WE ARE INCREASING THE COMPETITIVENESS OF OUR COMPANIES Mr. Burkay stated that internationally qualified events such as fair organizations, symposiums and congresses are now moving from the West to the East. “As Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry we are realizing internationally qualified organizations in our strongest fields and this organization is one of them. We will continue to hold these important events to increase both the competitiveness of our companies operating in Ur-Ge and our clustering groups and their share in foreign markets.” |
