Approximately 15-million-dollar worth of block marbles were almost sold completely at the 3rd “Bursa International Block Marble Fair” organized by Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with TUYAP Bursa Fair Organizations and Mine Marble Manufacturer and Industrial Business Association (MADSIAD). The exhibition attracted more than 21 thousand of business professionals from more than 40 countries in 4 days to where nearly 2 thousand marbles weighting 50 thousand tons were exhibited.
The Bursa International Block Marble Fair, which is one of the most important exhibitions of Bursa's most intensely participated fairs has ended. The fair realized in accordance with the marble sectors demands three years ago brought great momentum to the exports of the industry, accelerating the foreign trade of the mining sector, the city economy and especially Bursa.
$ 15 MILLION OF SALE
Mr. İbrahim Burkay; President of the Board of Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that the 3rd International Marble Block Fair will allow maximum mobility to the sector. Mr. Burkay stated that the fair welcomed a large number of foreign procurement delegations from more than 40 countries including China, India, Spain, Germany and Egypt. "Our country owns 40% of the world natural stone reserves. Bursa is one of the most important block marble producers of our country. We have been realizing productive fairs for the last three years in line with the demands of our sector. This year the fair, which we have welcomed important procurement delegations, exhibited 2 thousand block marbles which worth almost $ 15 million dollars. Almost all of the exhibited block marbles were sold during the fair.
FAIR DOPING TO EXPORT
Mr. Burkay noted that the sector aims to export close to $ 2 billion at the end of the year, "Foreign trade volume of block marble grows every year. Fair organizations are very crucial in order to reach our goals. Business people coming to Bursa from all over the world has a chance to observe the marbles on display in more than 500 colors and designs and also has the opportunity to investigate the manufacturing facilities. I sincerely believe that the collaborations that have emerged from here will continue to grow stronger. I hope that the fair which has achieved record growth in a short time like 3 years will be beneficial for our industry and our city, I would like to thank all the companies participating in the fair.”
20.898 VISITORS FROM 40 COUNTRIES
Mr. İlhan Ersözlü; Director General of TUYAP Bursa Fair Organizations stated that 215 companies exhibited their block marbles in 7 different halls and open exhibition area of 60 thousand square meters. “The fair has made a great contribution to natural stone and marble export. The fair started off with a 50% of growth compare to the last year organization and welcomed visitors as procurement committees from more than 40 countries particularly from China and India and also 20,898 professionals from 43 cities in Turkey. Despite being in its third year, the only specialized fair held on the subject of block marble in the country has made a great impact within the sector and had solidified its place in the sector as a brand fair with its composed business volume in 4 days.”
RESERVATIONS ARE ALREADY MADE FOR NEXT YEAR
Mr. Ersözlü said that exhibitors from Turkey's leading block manufacturers, quarry and business machine manufacturers all left the fair with great satisfaction. “The sector representatives have already made pre-bookings to the fair, which will bring the sector together for the fourth time between 24th and 27th October 2018 next year. MOST OF THE MARBLES WERE SOLD BEFORE UNLOADING FROM THE TRAILERS
Mr. Erol Efendioğlu; President of MADSIAD said that the block marble fair will grow even more each year. “The almost complete sale of block marbles in the fair has showed us once more how accurate to organize the fair was. This fair will develop further in the future years and will lead our country to reach its export targets. I believe that there has not been such a fast growing exhibitions in the world for years.
